A shoplifter has been jailed after causing misery to business owners in Brierley Hill.
Mohammed Adil, of Adelaide Street, Brierley Hill, has been sentenced for more than four months after committing a string of shoplifting offences.
Adil committed six thefts in October and November, targeting three shops for household products.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We arrested him after visiting an associated address and he was subsequently charged and remanded in custody until his court hearing.
"Adil was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison at Walsall Magistrates Court last week.
"Shoplifting is a priority for us in Dudley and we are committed to targeting prolific offenders.
