ON Tuesday September 2nd at 7.30 pm the group held their monthly meeting at Wall Heath Community Centre in Enville Rd Wall Heath.
The speaker for the evening was Vic Apsland who gave a talk on Cyclamen flowers and plants.
It was a varied and interesting talk with Vic showing many slides and giving information on how to grow and care for the plants. Vic related many of his experiences having travelled to different parts of the world to view and photograph them.
The meeting as usual was very well attended.
On Saturday September the 13th at 2.15 pm the annual show will take place.
Ken Tudor will open the event, which will be organised by the Horticultural and Flower group.
There will be a childrens section a water color display, Competative sections for fruit and vegetables and displays of flowers and cooking. There will be a tombola and raffle.
All entrants will be required to enter their subjects between 9 am and 11.45.
To enable the show to take place much organisation and preparation is needed. Groups within the community centre get together to ensure it is the best of shows.
Members of the public are invited to come along and enjoy the show. Admission is free with refreshments organised by the flower club will be available.
Anyone wishing to come to visit or join the group is welcome.
