THE RSPCA are trying to find a new home for a cute little cat found dumped in a box next to recycling bins at a Hagley veterinary practice.
The unfortunate, striking-looking ginger moggie, aged about four or five, was found at the back of the Clent Hills Veterinary Group surgery in Kidderminster Road on Friday September 5.
But according to the RSPCA - the pretty little kitty, who has been named Priscilla, is in good health and is currently being cared for at a foster home in Wollaston - until a loving new owner can be found.
Joan Waldron, chairman of the Stourbridge branch of the charity, said: “I just can’t understand it. She’s not a neglected cat. I’ve never heard of anything like this. It’s quite awful.”
Judith Haw, regional spokeswoman for the RSPCA, added: “We are appealing for information as to who dumped Priscilla. And we would like to remind people that it is a criminal offence to abandon an animal.”
Anyone with information about how Priscilla came to be abandoned is asked to contact Inspector Martin Dolan at the RSPCA on 0300 1234 999.
Anyone wishing to adopt her can call Joan Waldron on 01905 620658 or Denise Scholey on 01384 376664.
