OUR annual outing was on September 4 in the middle of one of the wettest weeks of this ‘summer’.

In spite of the relentless rain, we made our way to Bodenham Arboretum where we took refuge in the visitors’ centre.

We all enjoyed a good lunch, a browse in the gift shop and a lovely long undisturbed chat. Sadly, we were only able to see what scenery we could from the comfort of the visitors’ centre and could only guess at how beautiful the Arboretum really is.

Never mind, we all had a good day and perhaps we might be more fortunate on a future visit.

The wave of Prayers service was held on Monday September 8, in St Leonards church and was well attended by members and friends.

We are looking forward to our next meeting on
October 2
when Linda Eggins will be speaking to us on her visit to Nepal.

Please come along to Clent Village Hall at 2pm, where you will be made very welcome. It should be an interesting afternoon.
