RUTHLESS robbers armed with a hammer and a knife stole a man’s luxury car after walking into his Hagley home.

Two men in hoodys drove off in the man’s silver Mercedes convertible and £150 cash after raiding his School Lane home at around 8.30pm yesterday (Wednesday September 17).

They waltzed in through an unlocked door and demanded the man’s keys, punching him until he handed them over.

The man in his 60s was left shaken after the ordeal, but he did not need medical treatment.

Police later found the car abandoned in Ward End, Birmingham, at about 10pm The first offender was a black man, about six-feet tall, of slender build, and in his 20s. While the second man was white, also of slender build but shorter than the first man, and in his late 20s.

Both were wearing dark coloured hoodys.

There was also a third man, described as black, who police say stayed outside.
