STOURBRIDGE’S regeneration chief says the new town centre manger’s tourism experience will bring benefits to the area.
Hannah Rogers, aged 27, took up the role following the departure of Matt Caddick, who moved to a new job in Warwick.
Hannah hails from Wolverhampton and was previously the cultural tourism development officer at Islington Borough Council.
Prior to working in London Hannah was the assistant tourism and marketing manager at Worcester City Council.
Councillor Malcolm Knowles, Dudley cabinet member for economic regeneration, said: “We had a lot of very good applicants for this post but Hannah stood out.
“I am delighted that she is bringing her tourism and marketing experience to Stourbridge and am sure she will play an essential part in the town’s ongoing regeneration.”
Hannah said: “I enjoyed my time working in London but am relishing the opportunity to promote Stourbridge, which has retained its great market town character.
“I hope to be out and about meeting traders, shoppers and town centre businesses over the coming weeks and continue the links already made between them and Dudley Council.”
