THE Fountain Inn Pub in Clent has made it to the final four in the Sunday Lunch Pub of the Year category in the Food and Drink awards 2008.
Staff have high hopes of achieving yet another award to add to the impressive collection that Richard and Jacqueline Macey have achieved over the ten years that they have been licensees at the village pub.
During the decade, the couple have been finalists or winners of 27 different awards.
Jacqueline said: “It’s really good to be up for this award.
“We pride ourselves on our home cooked quality food and service. We are constantly striving to push forwards and improve on what we have to offer our customers.
“Winning the award would help keep the team motivated while proving that all their hard work is recognised and appreciated.”
Having won the Sunday lunch category back in 2005, staff at the Fountain - which is owned by Marston’s - are hopeful they will scoop the title once again.
