A MOTORCYCLIST from Brierley Hill was airlifted to hospital after he collided with a road sign near Bewdley.
The crash took place on the B4194 near to Button Bridge on the Shropshire and Worcestershire border, at around 11.35pm on Sunday September 28.
The County Air Ambulance from Cosford flew the rider, who came off his bike before colliding with the sign, to Birmingham’s Selly Oak Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The crash happened on a corner. The bike and road sign telling drivers of the bend were both damaged in the incident.
“The rider suffered nasty breaks to his left arm and left leg.
“The doctor on the helicopter gave him pain relief while he had both limbs splinted. The man was also immobilised using a neck collar and spinal board.”
