EXPERTS from a leading auction house are heading for Kingswinford to seek out lots of hidden treasures.
A team from Bonhams auctioneers, including Bond Street based ceramics and glass guru Simon Cottle, will be spending a day at Broadfield House Glass Museum giving their verdict on items brought in by members of the public.
The Antiques Roadshow style event at the Compton Drive museum will help raise cash for the Friends of Broadfield House by asking £1 from visitors for each valuation.
Bonhams will be providing four experts covering a wide range of subjects including ceramics, glass, jewellery and collectables.
Senior Bonhams valuer, Mark Hannam, said: “I hope to find nice pieces of Cameo Ware, this is a perfect opportunity for people to have an expert’s eye on them.
“The day will be sure to throw up a few surprises.”
The valuation day, on Monday October 6, starts at 10am and runs until 3pm at Broadfield House.
