CHANNEL 4’s Dispatches programme tonight (Monday October 6) will see Stourbridge students and the town’s MP Lynda Waltho airing their views on the laws governing lap-dancing clubs.
Eight students from King Edward VI College were filmed by programme-makers for the one-off documentary about how the relaxation of laws governing lap dancing clubs impact on towns like Stourbridge.
A production team behind the popular programme visited the Lower High Street college on the recommendation of Labour MP Lynda, who had given a talk at King Eds and had been impressed with the students' contributions during discussion sessions.
During the filming - students Georgina Kinsey, Anna McNee, Sanjit Bal, Kirsty Miller, Lucy Hill, Antonia Pinheiro, Ashley Doolan and Hannah Collins spoke candidly about issues connected with lap-dancing and legislation and how it might impact on youngsters at the college, which is based opposite Stourbridge’s gentlemen’s club Heaven.
The show is due to air on Channel 4 at 9pm tonight (Monday October 6).
