THE devastated family of tragic Quarry Bank mum Jennifer Harris have paid tribute to the “bubbly” 38-year-old after she was found dead in her bathroom.

Jennifer, from School Road, was discovered by one of her children on September 28.

She had been washing her hair and was found bent over the bath, by one of her daughters who went in to take her mobile phone to her.

Sister, Jackie Cox, said: “This has been a big shock for us, we just can’t get over the shock of what has happened.

“Jenny loved life and enjoyed going out and her kids were her life, she was all her kids and her grandkids.”

The devoted mother leaves behind six devastated children, Tracy, 20, Gary,19, Stephanie,16, Hayley,14, Zoe, aged seven and Reece, aged two and two grandkids, three year old Jake and 18 month old Regan.

Jenny’s parents, Mary and Roy Murphy, now plan to move into her house, to take care of three of her children - who still live at home.

Her best friend, Steph Wood, said: ”We were the closest of friends, she was like a sister to me.

“We all helped her and loved her, she should still be here with us.

“We are picking up the pieces and we are doing everything we can for the kids.

“She was bubbly and outgoing and there wan’t anyone she wouldn’t help.

“She was generous and kind-hearted.”

Jenny, a former student of Thorns Community College, worked part time as a cleaning supervisor for the firm C Browns, Pedmore Road.

Mystery still surrounds the cause of her death, as she was thought to be perfectly healthy and had never complained of feeling ill.

An inquest into Jenny’s death was opened and adjourned by Black Country Coroner Robin Balmain on Wednesday October 1.

Hundreds of friends and family were expected to turn out for her funeral at Rowley Regis Crematorium yesterday (Wednesday October 8).
