THE only way to describe the 62nd Clent Flower Show held on Saturday September 13 at Clent Parish Hall, and opened by Anne and Ken Quiney, long-standing members of Clent Gardening Club, is “a blooming good show”.
The event drew more competing participants than previous shows, including a large number exhibiting in the children’s classes and an excellent number of visitors including the local MP, Julie Kirkbride.
Despite the bad weather experienced recently, the exhibits were of a remarkably high standard in all classes indicating the hard work and dedication of all participants.
Clent Gardening Club and Clent WI, both welcoming visitors and new members, jointly ran the Clent Flower Show. For further details please contact John Babb on 0121 550 1176 (CGC) or Toni Allison on 01562 444079 (WI).
