STOURBRIDGE residents are being invited to step back in time for a 40’s evening in aid of a borough blind charity.
Beacon Centre for the Blind in Sedgley is hosting the event to celebrate the decade which was seen as one of the most patriotic of all time.
Stoubridge singer Maggie O’Hara will lead the rousing entertainment at its Wolverhampton Road East centre on Saturday, May 21.
Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
Tickets cost £8.50 for adults and £5 for children under 14 and are available from Karen Gullick by calling 01902 880111, or emailing kgullick@beacon4blind.co.uk A fish and chip supper is included in the ticket price.
Visitors are being urged to get into the swing of things by donning 40’s clothing, with a prize set to be awarded for the best dressed.
