Firefighters remain at the scene of the fire in Million Woods near Kinver
FIREFIGHTERS are continuing to battle a fire which has been burning for nearly a week in woodland close to Kinver.
Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service currently has four crews at the scene, in Million Woods on Mill Lane, tackling the blaze which began on Monday May 2.
Two fire engines were deployed at 7.45am this morning (Friday May 6) to support two crews which had been at the incident overnight.
A spokesperson for the service said firefighting activity at the scene is likely to continue for the rest of today.
Crews from Codsall, Penkridge, Burton and Ashley are currently in attendance alongside the control unit from Stone.
