WARTIME memories will be in plentiful supply to support modern-day heroes at an airfield event near Kinver.
Wolverhampton Airport will be the venue for a two-day show featuring a host of attractions organised by the Northern Forties Re-enactment Group to support the Help For Heroes charity.
The site in Bobbington, formerly RAF Halfpenny Green, will be hosting World War II themed festival over the weekend of May 21 and 22.
Attractions will include more than 250 re-enactors in wartime dress, military vehicles and aircraft, pleasure flights in a De Havilland Dragon Rapide aircraft, a 1940s dance on Saturday evening and, weather permitting, a flypast by a Lancaster bomber.
