FIRST-time and elite runners, young and old alike, are invited to take part in one of the area’s main sporting events, the Cobra Classic run.
Organised by Cobra Running and Triathlon Club, runners can choose between a 10km race or a 3.5km fun run this Sunday (May 15) in Hagley.
Competitors from as young as five years old can take part in the fun run which will set off at 10.15am with the 10km run starting at 10.30am from the Old Halesonians Rugby Club, Wassell Grove, Hagley.
Race Organiser, Chris Pearson, said: “Cobra’s motto is ‘Running for Fitness, Running for Fun’. The classic is certainly in keeping with that, as are our regular, friendly training sessions starting from Halesowen Swimming Pool, as well as our swimming and cycling sessions.
“All are welcome to come and join us at this event which has something for everyone, and will be well marshalled by Cobra members.”
Those taking part are advised to register about an hour before the start.
Beginners are invited to join Cobra’s successful new Wednesday evenings novice session. For further information and an entry form visit www.cobrarc.co.uk, or call Mr Pearson on 01384 232657.
