A VOLUNTEER is being sought to help a deaf person in the Black Country by spending a few hours a week taking a hearing dog for walks.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is looking for someone living within 20 minutes by car or public transport of Rowely Regis (B65) to walk a well-trained hearing dog on a regular basis in the daytime.
Hearing dogs are trained to help those with hearing impairments by alerting them to sounds around the house such as the phone, doorbell or smoke alarm to help enhance the quality of life for their owner.
Anyone able to help, or wanting more information about the volunteer role, can email volunteer@hearingdogs.org.uk or call Lucy on 01759 322299.
