A SPORTS-mad pub in Oldswinford has netted the final member from Aston Villa’s winning team that lifted the European Cup in 1982 for a question and answer session.
Landlord of The Cross Ted Etheridge said 13 of the 14-strong Villa side had appeared at his pub over the last two years but cup final goaler scorer Peter Withe had eluded them because he now lives in Australia.
But the former player is back in the area on holiday and is making a guest appearance at the Glasshouse Hill pub on Monday (May 23) evening at 9pm.
He will also pose for photographs and sign match memorabilia.
