BEST-SELLING Stourbridge author Miranda Dickinson will be visiting the library which inspired her to put pen to paper next week.

The Fairytale of New York and Welcome To My World author will be stopping off on Wednesday May 25 at Kingswinford Library - which she used to visit while growing up.

Miranda, who dreamed of one day writing a book that would grace the library’s shelves, will be telling more about her experiences as a rising star in the world of romantic fiction in a talk starting at 7.30pm - which is part of Big Book Fortnight 2011.

Kate Millin, Dudley’s assistant director of libraries, archives and adult learning, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Miranda back to Kingswinford Library.

“She’s a true example of someone who found inspiration in their local library and went on to become a great success. I hope her visit can inspire others to follow in her footsteps.”

Miranda’s visit will form part of a larger celebration at the library which starts at 6.45pm and includes refreshments as well as taster sessions of adult learning courses.
