A HAGLEY church is teaming up with the village cricket club for a fete to raise funds for new facilities.
The Friends of St John’s Church and Hagley Cricket Club are set to host their bi-annual show on Monday May 30 from 1pm to 4pm, proceeds will be used for new disabled toilets, cricket umpires changing facilities and a church meeting room.
The event, at Hagley Hall, will feature attractions including a display of vintage cars, a silent auction, table top Thomas The Tank Engine, a grand raffle, morris dancing, stalls selling a range of items, children’s activities and face painting plus a variety of refreshments.
Fete co-ordinator, Tony Battersby, said: “The many attractions will provide a great afternoon for young and old, do come and join us.”
Entrance to the fete will cost £1 with under 16s free, on the same day the grounds of Hagley Hall Park will be open to the public with the last walks starting at 3pm.
Entrance to the park will cost £2, under 16s get in free, dogs are not allowed in the park.
