STOURBRIDGE party goers were treated to a packed programme of events at a show with family fun in mind.
The SB Events Party in The Park at Swan Pool Park, Norton, on Saturday May 21, brought together a range of entertainers including actor Andrew Agnew - Pc Plum in the hit children’s TV show Balamory plus pop rockers Let Loose and singer Marie Louise.
Visitor numbers were down on previous years amid complaints about an increase in ticket prices to £4 but organisers say the hike was necessary to pay for big-name attractions while still making a contribution for park improvements.
A spokesperson for SB Events said: “It was great to see all ages enjoying the different attractions, unfortunately numbers were down substantially on last year.
“We consider the Stourbridge Party in The Park to be our jewel in the crown and we endeavour to improve it year-on-year, keeping the lowest entry price possible for as much quality entertainment as we can.
“Once inside our events there are a number of independent traders where people have the choice either to go on or buy things from or not.
“We believe we put on a well balanced all ages event at exceptional value at the same time trying to raise money and awareness of our parks, if not supported how long will they be there for? It’s too late once there are houses on them.”
