STOURBRIDGE FC have been given an early summer boost by agreeing a deal with Kidderminster Harriers full-back Aaron Griffiths.
The ex-Halesowen Town man impressed during a month-long loan at the end of the season and manager Gary Hackett was keen to secure his services.
A deal has been agreed in principle and should be sealed by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, Hackett has been encouraged with the progress of talks with other members of his squad and expects the vast majority to be returning for next term.
He said: “Around 14 or 15 players have agreed terms for next season and the talks have been very encouraging.
“I still have a few more to speak to but by the end of the week I should be able to annouce some names.
“We have been looking at areas where we can stengthen but before I dipped into the open market I was always keen to speak to my existing players.
“We are very much looking forward to the new season and we are keen to keep pushing the club on.
“The summer seems to get shorter and shorter, I think when the season finished my wife was thinking I’d have more time to spend at home but this is a very busy period.”
