ORGANISERS of a village musical extravaganza hope to raise thousands of pounds for a Clent special school.
Musica 11 is being held at the Church Farm home of Roger and Gaye Hadley in Bradford Lane, Belbroughton on Saturday July 30 to help pull in cash for Sunfield School.
Italian pianist Antonio Pompa-Baldi and his wife Emanuela Friscioni will be flying in specially for the event. Other performers will include singers Naomi Berry and Russell Painter; The Northfield Caledonia Pipe and Drum Band and Kingswinford’s Gentlemen Songsters Male Voice Choir.
There will also be a woodwind quartet from Oxford University put together by Sam Harris from Clent, a children’s choir and the event will be compered by TV personality Llewela Bailey.
Organiser Gaye Hadley said: “A previous event in 2009 was very successful and raised £4,000. Many of the artists who so generously gave their time are doing so again.
“As the concert is held in the grounds of our home, where we can accommodate many people, it is a very intimate and informal atmosphere – a great contrast to some of the concerts audiences may be used to. It should be a wonderful event.”
All proceeds from the event will be donated to Sunfield which cares for youngsters up to 19 with severe and complex learning disabilities.
Tickets cost £25 each or £200 for ten and they are available from Gaye Hadley on 01562 730539 or online at website www.musica11.com
