AN arsonist has been thrown behind bars after he admitted setting fire to Amblecote Primary School.
Michael Maxwell, aged 19 of Vale Street, Amblecote, was sentenced to 12-months in a young offenders institution after he pleaded guilty to the attack, which took place in October last year.
At Wolverhampton Crown Court his co-defendant, 21-year-old Benjamin Sands of Stepping Stones, Stourbridge, who also admitted arson, was given a 12-month custodial sentence suspended for 24 months, a 12-month supervision order and he was also instructed to carry out 200 hours unpaid work in the community.
