RADIO celebrity Jenny Wilkes stopped off to ‘cut the ribbon’ at the opening of Mary Stevens Hospice’s new book shop.
The Radio WM presenter, who just a few weeks ago became the first celebrity to publicly back the Oldswinford hospice, was guest of honour at the opening ceremony on May 27.
The book shop has been opened inside the hospice’s flagship High Street store as part of the second phase of the charity’s campaign to become more prominent in the town.
The main store, selling quality second-hand items, was opened in the old Mark & Moody/Paperway premises in July last year after a £25,000 fundraising drive.
Hospice bosses also hope to open a coffee shop inside the store, possibly later this year.
