WITH help from his family and friends, a Hagley student has raised £5,500 for Mencap in memory of a Special Olympian close to his heart.
Greg Boxer, aged 20, raised the money as a tribute to his late aunt Natalie Hampton, a member of Dudley Special Olympics squad, by successfully completing the London Marathon and holding a charity night at Old Halesonians Rugby Club.
Greg’s mum and Natalie’s sister Sarah Boxer said: “We are very proud of him and I’m sure that his aunty Natalie would be very proud.”
Anyone wishing to boost Greg’s fundraising total for Mencap, the UK’s leading charity for people with learning disabilities, can make a donation online at www.justgiving.com/Gregory-Boxer
