POLICE have issued an e-fit image of a man they want to trace in connection with an incident in Belbroughton which saw a motorist robbed at knifepoint.

The image was created with new software technology being used by North Worcestershire police who are investigating the robbery.

The incident which happened at about 1.30pm last Friday (June 10) left the motorist, who was in his 30s and driving a white Ford Focus, terrified but uninjured.

He had been just pulled up at traffic lights at the Hackman’s Gate crossroads between Blakedown and Belbroughton when a man walked into the middle of the road, opened the driver’s door and demanded his wallet while threatening him with a knife.

The motorist handed over his wallet, containing cards and a small amount of cash, before driving off and alerting police.

The robber, who had a small black dog with him, was last seen dragging the animal along a grass verge from the crossroads back towards Belbroughton.

He is described as white, in his mid-30s, around five feet nine, and of skinny build.

He had brown hair which was short at the front and sides but long and straggly at the back.

And he wore dirty blue jeans and a grey sports jacket with black stripes down the sleeves.
