DUDLEY detectives are trying to trace the rightful owner of an extremely rare £8,000 designer watch – believed to have been snatched in a theft or burglary in the borough.
Police seized a TAG Heuer Monaco twenty four calibre 36 chronograph watch but they say have been unable to discover who it belonged to.
Detective Constable Julian Hawley, from Dudley CID, said; “After making a few enquiries we believe this watch may be only one of a kind in the UK, and so the owner must surely know if they had one in their possession.
“We want anyone who has any more information about the rightful owner of this watch to contact us to pass on the details.
“Equally, we urge the owners to contact police and if ownership can be proven we hope to reunite them with their watch.”
Anyone able to help can call DC Julian Hawley at Brierley Hill Police Station on 0845 113 5000.
