ORGANISERS of Wordsley Festival want to hear from people interested in helping to plan and run next year’s event.
This year’s festival, held in King George V Park, Wordsley, on Saturday June 18, featured a stunt motorcycle team, live music, Fifi and Bumble and a host of other attractions and saw more than 2,000 people turn out.
Festival chairman Mick Willetts said: “It was a great event for all ages with lots of local charities raising money for their causes.
“Attendance was a little down on last year but due to the present economic climate we were not surprised at this.”
He said the festival committee would now be evaluating this year’s event before starting to plan the 2012 festival.
Anyone interested in getting involved with next year’s event can email Mick at wordsleyfestival@gmail.com or call 07582 306200.
