STAFF from Ham Dingle Primary School, Pedmore, will be taking to the streets this weekend for a charity hobble around the area.
Teachers and other members of staff in fancy headgear will be walking, jogging or running a three-mile route from the school on Sunday June 26 from 11am.
The theme for this year’s event, organised by teacher Jo Preston, is ‘Hats off for Mary Stevens Hospice’ with all funds raised going to support patient care at the Oldswinford hospice.
Teacher Jo Preston, organiser of the event, said: “We choose to support a different charity each year and this year felt it was important to raise funds for our local hospice who do such amazing work for families from the local community.
Janet Jones, head of fundraising at the hospice, added: “This is a novel event and should provide a colourful spectacle on a Sunday morning around the Oldswinford area.”
