MORE than dozen residents joined Lye councillors Pete Lowe and Mohammed Hanif at their latest community clean up.

The keen tidiers collected more than 20 bin bags and rubble during the event on Saturday June 25.

Pete said: “We always try and organise regular clean up events to ensure we can work with local communities and demonstrate our visibility, accountability and availability throughout the year, and not just at election time.”

The councillors will be organising further clean ups on the same estate towards the end of July and they also plan to join the Tidy Stourbridge group when they visit the New Farm Estate in August.
