A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following an incident in Stourbridge town centre at 10.22am today (Wednesday June 29).
West Midlands Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and rapid response vehicle to the scene near the post office.
During the incident money was stolen from the woman who is in her in her 50s and was left lying on the footpath.
The offender was seen running off down an alley way at the side of the post office in the direction of Stourbridge ring road, he was young and was wearing a dark coloured hoodie.
The victim was described as “understandably shaken” by the incident and taken to Russells Hall Hospital for a routine check up.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact Stourbridge police station on 0345 113 5000.
