TV comedian Ava Vidal performed a double header when having earlier appeared at the Stourport portion of the Comedy Hut, she hot footed it over to Stourbridge for another 50-minute set.

Vidal has recently featured prominently on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and also on Is Football Racist? as she works with the PFA to help educate youngsters on the issue in conjunction with professional players.

And she certainly wasn't shy of using racism as a tool for her humour in a clever way, with the dark subject of abuse she has received after gigs tackled in a gritty but clever and entertaining way.

It was different and refreshing and the material was delivered in a relaxed laid back way which was also funny, although real side splitting moments were few.

Earlier, host Ryan Gough introduced a supporting cast that included Darren Harriot who came up with some entertaining, original material and newcomer to The Comedy Hut Gwilum Argos.

Londoner Argos also played guitar and introduced some comedy songs to his entertaining set which went down well with the crowd.

Darren Phillips from Kidderminster also made a return to the Mitre venue to complete another entertaining evening.

Next up at The Comedy Hut Stourbridge is Andy Watson, who has been described as 'the next Lee Evans' and will appear on Wednesday Spetember 12.
