HUNDREDS of motorcyclists came out in force this afternoon (Wednesday, September 21) as they paid a poignant tribute to tragic young biker Elliott Beddow.
Much-loved biker Elliott, 20, died on Saturday, September 3, after crashing his Harley Davidson in Brierley Hill.
To celebrate Elliott’s life, more than 100 motorcyclists joined the funeral procession on its journey from his home in Stourton to Stourbridge Crematorium.
Traffic across Stourbridge was brought to a halt by the moving scenes as the procession headed past Wollaston, around the town’s ring road and then on through Norton to the crematorium.
More than 300 people were expected to be present at Elliott’s funeral, but the actual number looked like it could have been double the anticipated figure.
Working in conjunction with the police to make sure the procession went off without incident, funeral directors H Porter and Sons said Elliott’s funeral would be a “special event to celebrate the life of a tragic young man”.
