A 62-YEAR-OLD man was airlifted to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a road smash at Himley yesterday (Saturday June 25).
The incident involving two cars, one of which landed on its roof, happened in School Road just before 5pm.
The driver of the overturned car, who is believed to have been ejected from the vehicle, suffered serious head and leg injuries and a suspected pelvis injury.
Ambulance crews tended to him at the scene before airlifting him to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital where medics were waiting on standby for his arrival.
A woman and two children from the second car involved in the smash were uninjured.
