Brierley Hill neighbourhood Sergeant Debra Rowbotham and crime reduction officer Pc Angela Hodgetts visited residents in Park Street, Tobruk Walk, Sion Close and Brockley Close to dole out advice on home security, personal safety and postcode marking property.
Referrals were also made to West Midlands Fire Service at Brierley Hill to fit fire alarms, while contact numbers to Dudley’s Telecare service which helps vulnerable adults to continue living securely, safely and independently in their own home.
Sergeant Debra Rowbotham said: “The aim of the safety day was to meet residents, speak to them and offer advice where necessary.
“The main point we wanted to get across was that there are people available across the borough that can help, particularly the elderly and vulnerable members of our community.”
