A KINVER teenager has made it to the finals of the first ever Miss Teen Great Britain beauty contest.
Stacey Williams, who has just finished her final year exams at Edgecliff High, has been named Miss Teen Staffordshire and is now in the running for the Miss Teen GB crown.
The 16-year-old is one of around 50 finalists, aged 14 to 18, who will be vying for the title and a top prize of £1,000, a modelling portfolio with FAB photoshoots, plus a host of beauty products and cosmetics.
Stacey, from Swindon near Dudley, who will be going to Stourbridge College in September to start a child development course, said: “I’m really excited but really nervous as I’ve never done anything like this before and there are going to be hundreds of people there.”
But the striking redhead, who hopes to become a teacher, said a host of family and friends would be supporting her at the grand final which will be held at the Globe Theatre at Blackpool Pleasure Beach on Sunday September 25.
Ahead of the event, finalists will get to enjoy a weekend of photo shoots and a pyjama diva party.
Unlike many teen beauty contests, no text votes were involved in the selection of finalists for Miss Teen GB.
