On the 16 March we welcomed Chris Smith and his bicycle.

He came to tell us about cycling from Bewdley to Beijing, an amazing achievement, overcoming on the way many difficulties, his talk was most interesting.

At our April meeting, Liz Clarke a local potter spoke and showed some of her pottery, which we were able to purchase at the end of the evening. We were each given a piece of clay which with her assistance we moulded into a work of art. These she took with her to be fired in her kiln and we look forward to seeing our masterpieces in a few weeks’ time.

At our May meeting we look forward to meeting Cynthia Caldicot who will be talking about cheese and will be making a fondue for us to sample. This will be followed by our ‘Resolutions’ evening.

We have many enjoyable events to look forward to including lunch at The Nailers Arms, Bournheath on Tuesday, 10 May, a tour of Hartlebury Castle and Library and also the WI day at Croome Court both events to be held in June. A garden visit is planned for July and the annual summer BarBQ in August.

We extend an invitation to anyone who would like to come and visit, to see what we do, you will be made very welcome and you might like it.

Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month in Broome Village Hall commencing at 7.30pm.
