Dudley Kingswinford WI
Are you female and aged 18 or above? Do you want to meet with like-minded ladies; to learn new skills, make new friends and campaign on the things that matter to you? Then come and visit DKWI... our programme is jam packed with interesting activities and you don’t have to be able to bake cakes or sing Jerusalem in tune. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month at the Kingswinford Conservative Club, Oak Street, Kingswinford between 7.30-9pm. We offer two taster sessions for free so that you can get to know us before you join us. For more information please come along to our meeting night or email dudleykingswinfordwi@gmail.com
The monthly meeting took place on May 8, and we were treated to a demonstration of cupcake decorating. Kay Hadlington and Sue Grimmett made a batch of cakes and showed us how to pipe flowers, make ladybird decorations out of fondant icing and much more. Everyone enjoyed having a go and eating the results too. This month’s raffle was won by Linda; the first prize was a sweet tree kindly donated by Kay Hadlington. The next meeting is on June 13 when the guest speaker will be from Dementia friends.
