A KINGSWINFORD mum-to-be could not believe her luck when she won a whopping £50,000 cash prize in a restaurant giveaway.

Expectant mum Alexandra Rollinson entered the Brewers Big Summer Giveaway competition back in August when she popped in to Stourbridge Brewers Fayre for a meal with husband Neil Rollinson to celebrate her birthday.

She paid for two mains for £8.99 from the Daytime Value menu at the Birmingham Street based restaurant, where she had been a regular diner for the last two years, and just days later scooped the life-changing sum of £50,000 courtesy of the popular family restaurant chain.

Alex said of her win: “I’m so happy, but also overwhelmed.

“The Stourbridge Brewers Fayre is a local favourite, and we love to visit as the staff are so friendly. When we were handed a voucher with our receipt for the Big Summer Giveaway, I thought I’d give it a go. It still hasn’t really sunk in that we’ve won.

“My husband and I have discussed potentially putting the money towards buying a house – the perfect start for our new family.”
