The Guild met on April 17 being a significant date in our diary given that it was our 48th anniversary.
The chairman, Pauline Roberts, opened the meeting by welcoming our guests being two from Federation, two from Wollaston and two from the Grange who had been invited to partake in our anniversary celebrations.
One new member was also welcomed.
When all business related items had concluded there then followed a performance by Acoustic Voices an A cappella singing group from Wombourne who entertained us with their rendition of well known popular music being a combination of classical, folk and modern.
A finger buffet was served during the interval which had been prepared by all members of the Committee.
The second half of the evening was spent listening again to Acoustic Voices. At the end of the concert there then followed tea and coffee.
In her vote of thanks, Kate Moustache, stated that Acoustic Voices were the first singing group ever to perform in the 48 year history of this Guild. They were thanked for making this event a most joyous and memorable occasion.
The next meeting will be held on May 15 at which Rosa Ferris of Rose Windows will be giving a talk on stained glass windows.
