OLDSWINFORD ‘E’ TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD
The meeting of the Guild took place on Tuesday 15th May 2018. The Chair, Pauline Roberts ,opened the meeting by welcoming everyone plus two visitors.
Pauline announced that Jean Braddock had decided to retire from the Committee after 20 years’ service and was thanked and presented with a gift in recognition of this.
Margaret Fennell gave her monthly Financial Report followed by Kate Moustache who gave notes on the Federation Meeting which had taken place on Wednesday 18th April, 2018.
The speaker for the evening was Rosa Ferris of Rose Windows who gave a most detailed account of the making and restoration of stained glass for use in windows, doors and numerous decorative artifax. She also told us of her ‘Wall of Light’ exhibits which she had displayed in Worcester Cathedral last December.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 19th June at Oldswinford Church of England School,Field Lane, Oldswinford,Stourbridge, commencing 7.30pm. Visitors are most welcome.
