AN inquest has been opened into the death of Stourbridge man Matthew Gill, whose shock disappearance sparked a massive search by friends, family and even strangers.
Mr Gill, aged 43, of Forge Road, Stourbridge, who was known as Liggy, was found dead in woodland off Prestwood Drive on November 28 – after a high profile seven-week search to try and find him after he went missing on October 6.
An inquest was opened by the South Staffordshire Coroner on November 28 and adjourned until next year – with a provisional hearing date scheduled for March 6.
The cause of death was given as hanging.
