THE New Year promises to get off to an ace start for Wollaston Tennis Club where members have been served up four brand new all-weather courts with state-of-the-art floodlighting thanks to successful grant funding.
Funded by the Enovert Community Trust and Ibstock Enovert Trust - the new upgraded courts complement the club's four other modern courts and they are designed to offer up good playing conditions in all weather and provide a safe surface on which to run, even on cold days.
The new floodlighting also means players can also enjoy using the courts on dark winter nights.
Club chairman, Alan Hughes, said: “We are very grateful to Enovert Community Trust and Ibstock Enovert Trust for this fantastic investment in the Wollaston and Stourbridge area.
"They share our desire to enhance community facilities and improve fitness and social activities in the local area. This latest chapter in the development of the courts confirms our status as a leading tennis club in our area."
To encourage new members to make the most of the new courts - the club, based in Prestwood Drive, Stourton, is offering a special three-month adult membership offer of £30 from New Year's Day until March 31, 2019.
