The May club meeting took place on Monday May 9, one week later than usual due to the Bank Holiday.
After greeting members and guests, chairman Michael Handy read a few notices not least of which were details of the annual charity event presented by local florist Andrew Lloyd at the Rose Theatre Kidderminster June 27, 28, & 29 proceeds go to local charities.
The demonstrator for the evening was Julie Pierce, NAFAS area demonstrator from Worcester. Her title ‘One step through the clouds’ took us on a spellbinding trip to Nepal.
Appearing in Nepalese dress, Julie demonstrated her craft with some beautiful flower arrangements all of which were given as raffle prizes at the end of the evening. Social secretary Pearl Lovell announced she would be giving travel details of the trip to Malmsbury in June at the next meeting, there were no more coach seats available. There were garden plants on sale at the sales table together with the usual flower arranging mechanics. The vote of thanks was given by President Thelma Higgs.
