FOUR-LEGGED friends will be back for another Bark in the Park event in Stevens Park, Wollescote, this weekend.
The family fun dog show, organised by the Wollescote Park Friends Group, promises to attract dogs aplenty to the park on Saturday May 11.
Last year’s event had to be cancelled because of Hurricane Callum but it is now back and set to be bigger and better than before.
This year there will be dog agility taster sessions and plenty of activities for children, refreshments, a dog-themed raffle, plant sales and a pet artist on hand.
Dog classes to enter will include Most Handsome Dog, Scruffiest Mutt; there will also be prizes for fancy dress for dogs.
The Golden Oldies class starts the show at 10.30am, with the Best in Show Class being judged by Greyhound Trust - with a 12-month pet protection plan donated by Blacks Vets up for grabs.
Organiser Julia Marks said: “We are looking forward to another fabulous dog show, and it is always a delight to see so many people from the local community and their pets enjoy this fabulous park.
"We're also really proud to be able to use this event to support great local charities - Dudley Mind, the Greyhound Trust, Guide Dogs and the PDSA."
Money raised from the event will go towards Friends of Wollescote Park projects including plans to create a sensory garden for use by children with disabilities and their families.
Julia added: "We want to encourage more people to use the park, and make it a welcoming place for everyone to enjoy."
A full list of classes is available on Friends of Wollescote Park Facebook Page.
