The May meeting was the Open Evening to which chairman Jean Latham welcomed 42 members plus 5 visitors and friends invited from Kingswinford, Grange, Oldswinford, Norton Guilds aslo members from Federation.
The normal business was dealt with quickly including the mention of an organised trip to the national Memorial at Alrewas Arboretum on August 2.
The cost for this is £22 which includes coach fare, a two course meal and a guided tour.
There will be a list circulated at the next meeting for those who are interested.
Also a list will be in circulation for those wishing to book a meal at the White Hart, Kinver after the McMillan one mile walk on June 21.
The Hobby Share afternoon every third Monday in the month has got underway so if you have a hobby to share with fellow guilders, the place is St James Church Hall, at 2.30- 4.30pm. The next meeting date being June 20.
There followed a huge raffle with prizes going to both members and friends. Afterwards we were entertained by Richard Westcott, a retired pantomime dame. he began by doing the necessary face make up then dressed in the outrageous outfits befit a pantomime dame, ably assisted by Jean Williams. It was an enjoyable evening and thanks were expressed by the visitors.
The following week, approximately 40 members plus friends attended the annual dinner at The Brasserie, Kidderminster. The meal was excellent, followed by entertainer Barry Owen who encouraged everyone to join in a singalong.
