BELBROUGHTON Post Office was the target of an attempted burglary at the weekend.
A small dark coloured hatchback was seen to pull up outside the village post office in the High Street at around 2.20am on Saturday July 15.
Two men wearing hooded tops were seen getting out of the vehicle which is believed to have travelled into the village from the Kidderminster direction One of the men was carrying a crow bar and used it hit the glass in the door several times, causing the glass to smash.
The store's metal shutters, however, were down at the time so the men were unable to gain access into the shop - and they got back in the car and drove off.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting police incident number 153-S-150717 or call independent charity Crimestoppers online via www.crimestoppers-uk.org or call 0800 555 111.
