I RECENTLY had an accident at home which required the ambulance to be called and afterwards a stay in Russells Hall.
When the ambulance man said I was going to Russells Hall my husband was a bit dubious due to all the bad publicity the hospital seems to receive.
I would like however, to express my appreciation and thanks to the ambulance team especially the ambulance woman who stayed with me in casualty to reassure me, as long as she could. Also that they alerted the hospital and the casualty staff were awaiting our arrival.
The care and attention I received the whole of the time was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff, nurses and physiotherapists.
How the nurses manage to be so cheerful and patient with the patients when they are under so much pressure I do not know.
I have since been back to the trauma clinic and other departments and I would like to say that all the staff (in all departments) have been so considerate and reassuring at all times.
Once again many thanks to all who looked after me.
