SO, 26 people and a vicar, signed a petition to object to a bank in Lye being converted to a bar (15.02.07 edition), on the grounds of fears of anti-social behaviour, and Dudley Council upheld the objections.
Five hundred plus people in Dunn's Bank area of Quarry Bank signed a petition and had several meetings with councillors regarding the drug and alcohol drop-in centre proposed for Atlantic House, and the application went through.
Obviously drug addicts don't cause any anti-social behaviour, one only has to open any newspaper on any day of the week to see how drug addicts fund their addiction, so street crime and burglary is not anti-social.
This is a disgrace, how can Dudley Council qualify this action ? People in Quarry Bank who have been fighting this battle for months should note council elections are not far away.
